"Horizon 2020" - AMBEC
The goal of the "AMBEC" project is to develop a reliable and experimentally verified methodology for calculating heat transfer coefficients and fluid distribution in different zones of the bearing chamber of the main shaft of a new generation gas turbine engine. The methodology will be tested on an experimental bench and will be used to improve the design of compact bearing chambers in a hot environment. As part of the project, KhAI works together with the leading European engine manufacturing company SAFRAN and Ukrainian partners Motor Sich and Ivchenko-Progres. The AMBEC project is part of the Clean Sky 2 joint aviation initiative.
