The Department of International Relations was created as a structural division of the university for the organization and development of international relations in the educational and scientific fields.

The goal of the international relations department is organizational, technical and informational and methodical support of the University's international activities, development of cooperation with international organizations, educational institutions; improving the educational process and improving the quality of training based on the creative use of international experience.

The activities of the international relations department are carried out in the following directions:

- search for new partners from among foreign universities, foundations and institutions, conclusion and support of international agreements, support of international educational projects;

- organization of advertising activities of the University abroad and Internet marketing;

- organization of recruiting foreign students of education;

- informational and consulting support for the process of recruitment of foreign education seekers;

- organization of the process of inviting foreign citizens to study;

- organization of the process of registration of foreign students of education in the State Migration Service of Ukraine;

- organization of the process of recognition of foreign educational documents;

- organization of reception of foreign delegations and internships.

The main tasks of the international relations department are::

- establishment and development of effective mutually beneficial partnership relations with leading educational and scientific institutions of the world, preparation of partnership programs of cooperation in the field of science, education and culture.

- implementation of measures to expand the export of educational services and increase the recruitment of foreign students to the University.

- participation in the development of the strategy of the University's international activities and the integration of the University into the international educational and scientific space.

- participation of the University in national and international rankings of higher education institutions.

- promotion of the KHAI brand abroad.

The Department of International Relations performs the following functions:

- participation in the development of agreements, work programs, projects with foreign partners, control over their implementation.

- organization of academic mobility, professional development programs and scientific internships abroad for students and employees of the University.

- organization of the University's participation in international academic mobility programs and cooperation projects within the ERASMUS+ program.

- organization of the University's participation in "double" diploma programs.

- promoting the University's participation in national and international rankings.

- carrying out the necessary procedures for the recognition of the University abroad.

- organization of meetings of foreign delegations at the University.

- preparation of agreements and work programs on international cooperation with foreign universities and scientific institutions.

- organization of recruitment of foreign students, which includes:

1. organization of advertising companies and promotions abroad and in Ukraine;

2. organizing the participation of University specialists in exhibitions, conferences and other events aimed at attracting foreign citizens to study at the University;

3. holding online conferences and other information and consultation events to attract foreign citizens to study at the University;

4. dissemination of advertising information about the University's specialties, admission rules, living conditions, and infrastructure facilities of the University in order to attract foreign citizens to study at the University.

- cooperation with companies that promote the recruitment of foreign citizens to study at the University.

- issuing study invitations to foreign citizens. - organization of a meeting of foreign education seekers in Ukraine.

- providing assistance to foreign students of education when obtaining a temporary residence permit on the territory of Ukraine.

- organization of the procedure for recognition of educational documents issued abroad.

- organization of legalization and apostillation of education documents.

- preliminary verification of documents and coordination of the educational program with the foreign applicant and the faculties of the University that provide educational services to foreign citizens.

- reviewing the list and content of educational programs for foreign students and participating in the creation of new, more relevant educational programs.

- organization of international scientific and practical conferences, symposia, seminars, exhibitions, etc. on the basis of the University.

- organization of foreign business trips for training, internships and exchange of experience of teachers, graduate students and students of the University.

- inviting highly qualified foreign specialists to the University for lectures, consultations, joint scientific research, providing methodological assistance for improving the structure and system of education.

- registration and registration of invitations of foreign specialists, organization of receptions of foreign delegations invited to the University by the Rectorate, preparation of stay programs.

- preparation of the necessary reporting on the activities of the University in the field of international cooperation.

- interaction with state bodies, public organizations and private individuals on issues related to international cooperation, stay and study of foreign citizens.

- preparation of proposals based on the definition of priority directions of the University's international activity.

- preparation and analysis of documents regulating international activities at the University (regulations, orders, methodological recommendations), including the effectiveness of foreign business trips.

- ensuring the interaction of structural units of the University in the field of international cooperation, including: analysis, generalization and dissemination of information on international activities based on modern methods and means of communication; coordination of the University's divisions regarding their participation in international programs and projects; providing, based on the study of international experience, methodological assistance to the structural units of the University in the development of educational and methodological programs and plans, issues of training specialists for foreign countries, as well as holding international events.
