In 2014, the agreement on cooperation between KAI and the National Polytechnic Institute IPN was extended, which provides for scientific exchange, internships, joint publications, as well as participation in international programs.
The National Polytechnic Institute is the most important scientific academic and technological center in Mexico. It has 293 academic courses of study, 78 of which are technical professions, 80 specialties are aimed at economic, humanities, social and natural sciences, there are also postgraduate training, for which 135 specialized courses are allocated. About 170,000 students graduated from the institute, 16,000 of whom became research workers. IPN has 15 faculties of various branches of science (physics and mathematics, medicine, administration, humanities, etc.), 20 scientific research institutes and institutions distributed in 22 different states and a personal scientific television channel "OnceTV". More than 70 years of hard work have shown the role of the institute in the system of higher education, the quality of science and technology in Mexico, which studies students worthy of becoming national leaders in education with wide public recognition.
Every year, under the internship program, KhAI accepts a group of students and postgraduates from the National Polytechnic Institute for courses related to the development of automatic control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and complexes (department 305), as well as modeling and development of the aerodynamic scheme of a miniature autonomous aircraft (department 101).
High interest among students and postgraduates of the faculty. 305 KhAI is manifested in cooperation and work in joint successful projects with IPN students, in their development and testing. Thus, in 2014-2015, an unmanned aerial vehicle was created together with the student scientific group of functionally stable management of dynamic objects and processes, managed by Firsov, and students of IPN (photo, testing on the territory of the military base of the National Guard of Ukraine, located in the forest park) allows you to perform autonomous flights along a given route and the ability to adjust the route during the flight, automatic take-off and landing, photo and video recording of the understory surface and transfer information in real time.
Today, IPN offers a wide range of opportunities for internships to students, teachers and researchers of the Khai Institute, as well as professional development courses within the framework of the relevant programs.
Within the framework of this program, the Master of the Faculty 305 Vasiliev and a graduate student of the faculty 305 Zhezhera are undergoing training and internship at the IPN university within the framework of the development program of a functionally stable automatic UAV control system.
The result of such cooperation is expected to be a line of bringing an existing UAV to a marketable model, which has a wide range of capabilities, both controlling the device itself and the equipment available on board, as well as master's and candidate of technical sciences qualification papers prepared on real experimental data. Further cooperation involves sending interns both to Mexico and receiving them within the walls of the native KhAI.
