In 2010, a Framework Agreement on the development of academic and scientific research was concluded between the National Aerospace University"Kharkiv Aviation Institute" and Otto von Gerike University Magdeburg, Germany.

In 2011, an agreement on the Ukrainian-German dual education program with the awarding of a bachelor's degree in the field of logistics will be concluded between KhAI and UofH. As part of this program, department students Margarita Khlypina (2013), Pavlo Lysenko (2014) and Bohdan Tolostoy (2015) were sent to study at Magdeburg University. The topics of theses of the students who studied under the Ukrainian-German dual education program were discussed in advance so that their results would become the property of science, which is engaged in in Kharkiv and Magdeburg.

One of the well-known events in the field of logistics in Europe is the holding of annual international conferences by the Otto von Gerike University together with the Institute of Logistics and Handling Systems (ILM) and the Fraunhofer Institute (IFF), which are attended by scientists and business managers from the East and West of Europe Since 2013, employees of the department have been constantly participating in the Magdeburg Days of Logistics and making presentations.
