Technological processes of surface modification

In the period from 2000 to 2004, the technological processes of removing defective coatings from the blades of gas turbines by ion spraying were developed.

Spraying speed is limited by the properties of the material being removed. Processes allow:

- remove the defective coating completely;

- remove only the defective part of the coating;

- carry out ion polishing of the surface;

- or milling.
