Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources
In the process of study in research (1 year 9 months) and professional (1 year 4 months) training in the major "Electric Power, Electrical Engineering and Electrical Mechanics" (educational program "Non-traditional and renewable energy sources") students acquire competencies in design, testing, management, operation and repair of alternative and renewable energy sources, as well as energy converters of alternative and renewable energy sources, operation of electrical networks and systems, modern problems and methods of mathematical and computer simulation, advanced control systems and diagnostic tools of alternative and renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly alternative and renewable energy sources.
Students study disciplines that provide in-depth knowledge of modern alternative and renewable energy sources, namely the processes of production, transmission, distribution and consumption of electricity at power plants based on alternative and renewable energy sources; safety analysis, increase of reliability and increase of service life of electric power, electrical engineering and mechanical equipment. The obtained thorough knowledge opens many professional opportunities for future specialists and allows them to easily find prospective career in institutions and organizations of the electric power, electrical engineering and mechanical industry, at the enterprises of the electric power complex, in electrical engineering and electromechanical companies.
