172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1392 of December 16, 2022, the specialty 172 "Telecommunications and Radio Engineering" will be called 172 "Electronic Communications and Radio Engineering". Educational activity in the new specialty will begin on September 1, 2023.

The objects of activity of graduates of this specialty are a set of technologies, means, methods and methods of processing, storage and exchange of information at a distance and the use of electromagnetic oscillations and waves, in particular in radar and radio navigation, for the control and management of machines, mechanisms and technological processes in electronic, medical equipment, measuring devices and systems

The purpose of training is the formation and development of general and professional competences in the implementation and application of telecommunications and radio technologies, which contribute to the social stability and mobility of the graduate in the labor market.

Preparation is carried out at the departments:

- Department of Aerospace Radioelectronic Systems (Department 501)

- Department of Radioelectronic and Biomedical Computerized Means and Technologies (Department 502)

- Department of Information and Communication Technologies named after Zelenskyi (Department 504)
