"2+2" program with Nanjing University
of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), Nanjing, China
In 2007, KhAI began cooperation with the leading Chinese university - Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), located on the territory of the former palace of the Ming Dynasty in the city of Nanjing - the southern capital of ancient China. The university has two campuses with a total area of 160 hectares. NUAA includes 10 colleges, 50 research institutes and 58 laboratories.
In March 2007, the universities signed an agreement on the joint education of Chinese students in bachelor's and master's programs approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. According to this agreement ("2+2" program), for the first two years, Chinese students study at NUAA under the programs of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where the Russian language and part of the lectures are given by the teachers of the Academy of Sciences who are on a business trip. Every year, three teachers from Khai come to NUAA to teach Chinese students. For the next two years, Chinese students study at Khai. At the end of the study period, students defend their theses and receive diplomas from both universities for bachelor's or master's degrees.
In 2015, the fifth group of 11 bachelors graduated, most of whom defended their bachelor's theses with an "excellent" grade. Also, in 2015, the first group of future bachelors in the field of "Avionics" in the number of 17 students was admitted to study under this program for the first time. Also in 2015, the first group of Chinese students was recruited within the framework of this program in the direction of "Missile and Space Complexes".
