Since 2005, KhAI has been an active participant in the Tempus program of the European Commission. During this time, a number of projects were successfully implemented, for which funding from the EU was received.

- Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT), BAS, Republic of Bulgaria;
- University College Cork – National University of Ireland, Republic of Ireland;
- University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;
- Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Thanks to the implementation of international projects, the university was equipped with computer classrooms, a video conference room, which is used for lectures by European scientists, 3D modeling equipment was purchased and a materials science laboratory was equipped.
