Erasmus+ is a large-scale European Union program that supports projects, partnerships, and mobility in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport. For our University, it is one of the primary instruments for integration into the European educational space.
Main Activity Areas of Erasmus+:
1. Academic Mobility (Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals). This is an opportunity for KhAI students to study at European universities for a semester, and for faculty members to undergo internships or teach abroad.
For Students: The grant covers travel and living expenses. Upon return, learning outcomes are transferred (via the ECTS system).
For Faculty: Exchange of experience, study of new teaching methodologies, and establishment of scientific networks.
2. Cooperation Projects (Key Action 2: Capacity Building in Higher Education). This involves participation in large international consortia for the modernization of higher education.
This allows the University to:
- Update curricula in accordance with EU standards;
- Purchase modern laboratory equipment using grant funds;
- Implement innovative university management methods.
Despite challenging conditions, the Erasmus+ program continues to operate in Ukraine. The EU has introduced additional support measures for Ukrainian students and teachers to ensure the continuity of education and the resilience of our higher education system.
