1. General Provisions

1.1. Regulations on the Student Research Club "Current Philological Research: Word, Text, Translation, Communication" of the Department of Applied Linguistics (No. 703) (hereinafter - the Regulations) of National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" (hereinafter - the University) have been developed in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine "On Education" dated 05.09.2017 No. 2145-VIII (as amended), "On Higher Education" dated 01.07.2014 No. 1556-VII (as amended), and the Statute of National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" (hereinafter - the Statute).

1.2. The Student Research Club "Current Philological Research: Word, Text, Translation, Communication" (hereinafter - the Club) operates under the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities and Law on a free basis. The Club's work is based on the principles of scientific approach, self-development, humanism, democracy, continuity, personal and collective responsibility, collegiality, and open discussion of matters.

1.3. The Head of the Club, appointed by the Head of the Department from among the academic staff of the Department, ensures the compliance of the Club members with the University's internal regulations.

1.4. The Club is established, reorganized, or liquidated by an order of the Rector pursuant to the decision of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Law, which includes the Department of Applied Linguistics, on the basis of delegated powers.

1.5. Higher education degree seekers of any year of study majoring in "Applied Linguistics" may become members of the Club.

1.6. Termination of the Club's activities is carried out through its liquidation or reorganization. In case of reorganization, all documentation of the Club concerning primary activities must be timely transferred to the successor for storage, and in case of liquidation — to the University Archives.

2. Main Tasks

2.1. The goal of the Club's work is to identify the most capable, talented higher education degree seekers of the Department inclined towards research work and involve them in the research activities of the Department, Faculty, and University; to acquire research skills and apply them in practice; to deepen research on issues within the scope of the Department's scientific activities involving higher education degree seekers; and to broaden the general and professional outlook of the Department's higher education degree seekers.

2.2. The main tasks of the Club are:

─ organization of research work for higher education degree seekers of the Department;

─ in-depth study by higher education degree seekers of the Department of materials in the chosen field of philological research;

─ facilitation of high-quality preparation of scientific reports and communications on current issues of philological research by higher education degree seekers of the Department;

─ facilitation of high-quality preparation of scientific publications, abstracts, and reviews of published works by higher education degree seekers of the Department;

─ acquisition of practical public speaking skills by higher education degree seekers of the Department at meetings of the research club, scientific seminars, and conferences;

─ involvement of higher education degree seekers of the Department in student competitions, olympiads, etc.;

─ encouragement of participation of the Department's higher education degree seekers in international projects, study programs, and internships abroad;

─ creation of conditions for unlocking the scientific and creative potential of higher education degree seekers of the Department.

3. Membership in the Club

3.1. The Club operates on the basis of voluntary membership.

3.2. Membership in the Club is official, but not limited.

3.3. Any higher education degree seeker who wishes to deepen their knowledge of the subject and acquire research skills may become a member of the Club.

3.4. Admission to membership of the Club is conducted upon personal application of the higher education degree seeker.

4. Organization and Leadership of the Club

4.1. The ongoing work of the Club and its leadership are carried out by the Head, appointed by the Head of the Department from among the academic staff of the Department who hold a doctoral degree or candidate of sciences degree; as an exception — without an academic degree, but with sufficient work experience and relevant scientific works confirming their qualification level.

4.2. Meetings of the Club are held at least once a month to discuss the results of scientific and practical works, abstract reports, etc.

4.3. Organizational work of the Club is carried out by the Student Head (Monitor), who is elected by an open vote at a meeting and approved by the Academic Supervisor of the Club.

4.4. Before the start of the academic year, a schedule plan for the scientific research work of the Club is drawn up, developed in accordance with the scientific research agenda of the Department and approved by the Head of the Department.

4.5. Scientific seminars are organized within the framework of the schedule work plan.

4.6. Academic staff from both the Department of Applied Linguistics and other departments, as well as professionals from related fields, may be involved in the Club's activities.

4.7. Club supervision activities may be included in the afternoon workload of the Head of the Club at the Department of Applied Linguistics.

5. Rights and Duties of Club Members

5.1. To attend and deliver presentations and scientific reports at meetings of the Club.

5.2. To carry out scientific research work under the supervision of an academic staff member of the Department.

5.3. To publish the results of their work in university-wide and other scientific publications.

5.4. To participate in scientific conferences, olympiads, exhibitions, and competitions at various levels.

5.5. To participate in all events organized within the scope of the club's activities.

5.6. To contribute to attracting new members to the club.

5.7. To elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the club.

5.8. To enjoy priority in academic credit transfer/evaluation for certain disciplines during studies at the Department of Applied Linguistics, subject to achieving notable success in scientific research work.

5.9. To familiarize themselves with draft decisions of the club leadership regarding its activities.

6. Rights and Duties of the Student Research Club Head (Monitor)

6.1. Drawing up plans and reports on the work of the student research club jointly with the academic supervisor.

6.2. Systematic execution of organizational work.

6.3. Facilitating the timely execution of the research work plan by members of the student research club and the problem group.

6.4. Representing the interests of the student research club in the Student Council.

7. Rights and Duties of the Club Supervisor

7.1. To familiarize themselves with draft decisions of the leadership concerning their activities.

7.2. To participate in discussions on issues related to the performance of their duties as the club supervisor.

7.3. To participate in discussions of draft orders, instructions, or other documents within their scope of competence.

7.4. To sign and countersign documents within their scope of competence.

7.5. To participate in the work of structural units and governing bodies of the University where issues concerning the club's activities are discussed and resolved.

7.6. To notify their direct supervisor of all shortcomings identified during the execution of their duties and submit proposals for their elimination.

7.7. To prepare plans and reports on the club's work and timely submit them to the Department of Applied Linguistics.

7.8. To facilitate the timely execution of the research work plan by club members.

7.9. To interact with employees of other structural units of the University to fulfill designated tasks and duties.

7.10. To receive information relevant to the execution of their duties from the structural units of the University.

7.11. To possess all other rights provided for by current labor legislation of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", and the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the University.

7.12. To appeal orders, instructions, and other administrative documents issued by higher officials in accordance with established procedures.

8. Final Provisions

8.1. Regulations on the club are adopted by the Academic Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Law, agreed upon with the Vice-Rector for Research, the Head of the Human Resources Department, and the Head of the Legal Department of the University.

8.2. Regulations on the club are enacted by an order of the Rector of the University.

8.3. Amendments and/or additions to these Regulations are made in accordance with the procedure established for their adoption.
