From 14 to 16 September 2018 at the National Aerospace University. M.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" on the basis of the Department of Software Engineering with the support of our permanent sponsors (NIX Solutions, Sigma Software) held the II stage (regional) of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Programming, which is also one-fourth of the student world championship, ACM-ICPC 2018. 47 teams from three regions of Ukraine took part in the competitions: Kharkov, Lugansk and Donetsk. In total, 23 higher education institutions of different levels of accreditation and 2 schools from 8 cities of Ukraine took part in the Olympiad. Results of 1/4 finals ACM-ICPC (Eastern region). Winners of the competitions are the following teams: 1 place - team KhNURE_Energy (Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics). 2 place - team KhPI_Morituri :: Reborn * (National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic University"). 2 place - team KhNU_Voyager (Kharkiv National University named after VN Karazin). 3rd place - team KhPI_WABEPMAXT (National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic University"). 3rd place - team KhNURE_RandomPeople (Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics). 3 place - team KhNUE_Boiledd_Pilotz * (Kharkiv National University of Economics). Among the technical schools and colleges, the winners are the following teams: 1 place - team cSCNAU: SAS (Slavic College of the National Aviation University). 2 place - team cKhRT_Alt + Ctrl + Delete (Kharkiv Radio Technical School). 3 place - team cKhRT_luck * (Kharkov radio technical school). Based on the results of this Olympiad, the organizing committee selected participants to participate in the finals of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in programming and the semi-final of the world championship ACM-ICPC 2018 (these are the seven best teams in the Eastern region) 1.
