The Conference of the University staff, in accordance with Article 39 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” and the Charter, is the highest collegiate body of public self-government at the University.
The Conference of the University staff includes representatives (delegates) from among the scientific, scientific-pedagogical, pedagogical employees, other staff of the University, and students. Members of the University Supervisory Board have the right to participate in the conference with an advisory vote. If there are available seats in the auditorium where the conference is held, representatives of all employee groups and student representatives may participate in the Conference of the University staff without voting rights, provided prior agreement with the Organizing Committee or the conference chair.
The authority of the Conference of the University staff is established for a term of one year.
The Conference of the University staff has the following powers:
1) Approves, upon submission by the University Academic Council, the Charter or amendments (additions) to it;
2) Annually hears the report of the University Rector and evaluates his/her performance;
3) Elects the labor disputes commission in accordance with labor legislation;
4) Considers, upon substantiated submission by the Supervisory or Academic Council of the University, the issue of early termination of the Rector’s powers;
5) Approves the University’s internal regulations or amendments (additions) to them;
6) Considers and adopts the draft collective agreement or amendments (additions) to it, reviews reports on its implementation, and grants the Trade Union Committee or another body authorized by the University staff the right to sign the collective agreement with the Rector on behalf of the University staff;
7) Approves the Regulations on Student Self-Government at the University, as adopted by the highest student self-government body;
8) Approves the Regulations on the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Students, and Young Scientists of the University;
9) Elects elected representatives to the University Academic Council;
10) Considers other most pressing issues concerning the activities of the University.
