BAYHOST offers scholarships for students and young researchers from Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe for summer language courses in Bavaria.
Academic requirements:
At the time of application, applicants must be enrolled in one of the eligible countries or work there in the academic field, have completed at least 2 full semesters at a higher education institution, and be able to provide transcript evidence.
Number of scholarships: approximately 40 per year
Duration: approximately 4 weeks (course length)
The scholarship includes: course fees, accommodation, and pocket money or meals at the Bavarian higher education institution.
Applications are accepted from January to March.
Additionally, there is a one-year scholarship program sponsored by the Free State of Bavaria for graduates from Central, Eastern, and Southeastern European countries. It is awarded for 1 academic year and can be extended twice for a total of up to 3 years.
Funded: Master's studies, research, and PhD programs.
The scholarship is paid monthly at €992, totaling €11,904 per year.
Application period: August to December.
