BAA Training

In September 2016, the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" and BAA Training (Baltic Aviation Academy) launched a joint project to train aircraft maintenance engineers holding an EASA pilot license.

BAA Training is an aviation training center headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, which has been operating and graduating pilots for over 20 years. The Academy is an EASA-certified center offering a wide range of training programs for various professional aviation certifications recognized by civil aviation organizations in many countries worldwide. As a center for pilot training according to European standards, its practical training is conducted through a network of simulators in countries such as Lithuania, England, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, France, and Germany. Baltic Aviation Academy operates under certificates issued by the Civil Aviation Administration.

Offer:

National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" and Baltic Aviation Academy developed a joint training program, as a result of which students were able to become both qualified aviation engineers and licensed commercial pilots simultaneously.

According to the program, students studied for 2.5 years in the Bachelor's course in Aircraft Maintenance at the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" and for 1.5 years in the EASA pilot license training course at the Baltic Aviation Academy.

About the Program:

The "Aircraft Maintenance" specialty is designed to train mechanical engineers for the operation and testing of aviation equipment. Graduates can work at aviation enterprises as junior mechanical engineers for aircraft operation, hold engineering positions at enterprises related to aircraft operation, ground and flight testing, certification, and aircraft repair technologies. They may also serve as research engineers in the field of aircraft construction, work in design and scientific organizations of the Ukrainian aviation industry, higher education institutions, as well as various state and private enterprises related to aircraft maintenance, airports, and aviation technical bases.

Result:

Upon graduation, students receive a Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Maintenance and a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). This makes KhAI students highly competitive in both aviation engineering and civil aviation. The program significantly increases our graduates' chances of finding prestigious and high-paying jobs worldwide, as an aviation specialist in Europe earns an average of 4,000 euros per month.
