The objects of activity for graduates of this specialty include Ukrainian legislation regulating the activities of law enforcement agencies; international and national standards for ensuring human rights and freedoms, and the rule of law; principles of interaction with the population based on partnership; fundamentals of anti-corruption; the procedure and grounds for using special equipment, special operational and technical means, information retrieval systems, and databases; conducting operational-investigative activities, countering the activities of illegal paramilitary or armed formations and organized criminal groups, countering illegal migration, combating terrorism, and implementing state policy in the field of cyber protection of state information resources and data; as well as complex problems of ensuring public safety and order, protecting human rights and freedoms, and the interests of society and the state, crime prevention, and providing police services.

The educational goal is to train highly qualified law enforcement specialists capable of solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in law enforcement characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions, as well as specialists capable of identifying and solving complex tasks and problems in the field of law enforcement or during the learning process that involve research and/or innovation characterized by uncertainty of conditions and requirements.

Training is conducted at the Department of Law (702).
