The objects of activity for graduates of this specialty are the tools and methods of engineering and exact sciences for solving problems in biology and medicine: development, production, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, and expertise of medical equipment, biomaterials, bioengineering systems and processes, and medical-biological products; processing of biomedical information; technical and informational support of medical technologies and systems, improving health, longevity, and quality of life; development, production, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, and certification of medical equipment and medical-biological products.
The educational goal is to acquire competencies in the field of development, design, production, operation, repair, maintenance, expertise, and certification of medical-biological devices and systems; assessment of compliance with technical regulations, bioprotection, and biosafety standards for biological and medical equipment, biomedical products, medical biomaterials, and artificial organs; as well as corresponding software and information technologies. The program aims to train specialists capable of solving complex tasks and problems in the field of biomedical engineering through research and innovation under uncertain conditions and requirements.
