The Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Information Technologies was founded in 1962 and trains IT specialists in software, networking (cloud, IoT), and security technologies. The Department provides education in the following areas and specializations:

Computer Engineering, which allows graduates to specialize in system programming, computer systems and networks, mobile software systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT) after obtaining a bachelor’s degree;
Cybersecurity, which allows specialization in information and communication system security and industrial cybersecurity.
The Department holds a leading position in Ukraine in IT education due to:

active participation in international educational and research projects under European programs (ERASMUS+, FP7, Horizon2020);

long-term collaboration with leading IT companies in Ukraine and worldwide (Epam, SoftServe, Sigma, GlobalLogic, Samsung R&D Institute Ukraine, etc.);

modern teaching and research facilities (10 specialized laboratories, research and industrial centers);

high employment rates and professional achievements of graduates;

one of the highest faculty ratings for the number and quality of scientific publications and patents among IT departments in Kharkiv and Ukraine;

n a decade of experience teaching in English to bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students.
