The objects of activity for graduates include fundamental, applied, and experimental research in the field of modern materials science for aviation and rocket-space technology; theory and applied problems of machine dynamics and strength; solid-state physics; processes of applying coatings, nanocoatings, and obtaining modified hardened layers, mechanical and physico-technical processing, metal forming, as well as the latest welding technologies.

The educational goal is for the individual to acquire theoretical knowledge, skills, abilities, and other competencies sufficient for producing new ideas, solving complex problems in the field of professional, pedagogical, and/or research-innovation activity, mastering the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activities, as well as conducting their own scientific research, the results of which possess scientific novelty, theoretical, and practical significance.

Training is conducted at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics, Machine Science, and Robomechanical Systems (Department 202).
