The Department of Theoretical Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, and Robotic Systems trains specialists in G11 Mechanical Engineering / G11.03 Technological Machines and Equipment through the educational programs “Robotic Systems and Complexes” and “Computer Engineering”, as well as bachelor programs in 131 Applied Mechanics (educational program: Robotic Systems and Complexes) and 133 Industrial Mechanical Engineering (educational program: Computer Engineering). The department prepares next-generation engineers for the aerospace, mechanical engineering, and high-tech industries.
Students in the robotics track learn to develop automated technical systems, design robots, and create robotic complexes for automating complex technological processes. Training covers a wide range of disciplines, including applied mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering, computer and biomedical engineering, programming, and system integration.
From initial steps in robotics using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and educational platforms to designing high-tech robots and intelligent systems, students gain practical skills that allow them to implement future engineering solutions. Within the scope of engineering logistics, they study modeling and optimization of supply chains, logistics processes, identification systems, and telematics, making them highly sought-after in manufacturing, transportation, and industrial-trade companies.
The Computer Engineering program prepares specialists in designing and supporting products at all stages of the life cycle using modern CAD/CAE/CAM and PDM technologies. Students master SolidWorks, 3D modeling, structural analysis, CNC programming, preparation of digital documentation, and 3D printing, acquiring the full set of tools required for an engineering designer.
Graduates of the department successfully work at enterprises in Ukraine and worldwide, including Antonov, Pivdenmash, Motor Sich, FED, Electron, Boeing, Airbus, BMW Ukraine, Samsung, and other engineering, manufacturing, and logistics companies.
By combining fundamental technical education with modern digital technologies, the department prepares engineers capable of creating innovative solutions and implementing the technologies of the future.
