The objects of activity for graduates of this specialty are software and hardware tools (hardware, programmable, reconfigurable, system and applied software) of computers and computer systems for universal and special purposes, including stationary, mobile, embedded, distributed, etc.; local and global computer networks and the Internet; cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT), IT infrastructures; interfaces and interaction protocols of their components; information processes, technologies, methods, and systems for research, automated and automatic design, debugging, production, and operation of software and hardware; project documentation, standards, procedures, and tools for supporting lifecycle management of the aforementioned software and hardware; methods and ways of information processing; mathematical models of computing processes; computing technologies, including high-performance, parallel, distributed, mobile, web-based, and cloud, green (energy-efficient), secure, autonomous, adaptive, intelligent, smart, etc.; architecture and organization of the functioning of relevant software and hardware; ways of representing, obtaining, storing, transferring, processing, and protecting information in computers.
The goal of training is to prepare specialists capable of independently using and implementing computer engineering technologies, as well as preparing specialists capable of solving complex research and innovation tasks in the field of computer engineering.
