The objects of study for students of this specialty are mental phenomena, the patterns of their emergence, functioning, and development; behavior, activities, and actions; the interaction of people in small and large social groups; psychophysiological processes and mechanisms that underlie various forms of mental activity.

The goal of training is to prepare specialists capable of solving complex tasks and practical problems during the educational process and professional activity in the field of psychology, which involves conducting scientific and project research and/or implementing innovations and is characterized by uncertainty of conditions and requirements. It also aims to ensure professional activity reflects universal human values and norms of professional psychological ethics, forming scientific ideas about the nature of the psyche, methods and results of psychological research, and developing the ability to apply psychological knowledge in professional settings.
