Grounds for accreditation

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine submitted an application for accreditation at the National Aerospace University. N. E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" for the training of specialists in the educational-professional program "Satellites, engines and power plants" of specialty 134 "Aviation and rocket and space technology" for the second (master's) level of higher education.

The expert commission evaluated the correspondence of the National Aerospace University to them. N. E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" on providing educational services in the field of higher education in preparation for the educational-professional program "Satellites, engines and power plants" of the specialty 134 "Aviation and rocket and space technology" for the second (master's) higher level education criteria and requirements for the accreditation of educational programs in higher educational establishments and states that the above-mentioned educational activities of the Department of Space Technology and non-traditional energy sources of the National Aerospace University them. N.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" meets the accreditation requirements and licensing conditions for providing educational services in the field of higher education.

Thus, the application of the National Aerospace University named after them.  N. E.Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" regarding the accreditation of the educational-professional program "Satellites, engines and power plants" of the specialty 134 "Aviation and rocket and space technology" for the second (master's) level within the limits of the licensed volume, we consider it to be sufficiently substantiated.

General conclusions and suggestions

Based on the submitted materials on the possibility of accreditation of the educational-professional program "Satellites, engines and power plants" of specialty 134 "Aviation and rocket and space technology" for the second (master's) level of higher education with a total licensed volume of 30 people at the National Aerospace University named after. N.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" and the direct verification of the status of organizational, educational, methodological, informational, material and technical and personnel support, as well as the results of educational activities in place, the expert commission reached the following conclusions:

  1. The founding documents, the license and other documents submitted provide the legal and organizational foundations of activity and meet the state requirements for the accreditation of the educational-professional program.
  2. At the university there is a correspondence of training specialists to the current licensing and accreditation norms, labor market needs. The staffing is in compliance with the established requirements and the report on self-analysis. The state of the material and technical base, organizational, teaching and methodological and information support of each discipline meets the licensing requirements.
  3. Expert examination of the level of preparation of masters in the mentioned educational-professional program showed that the overall success of training and the quality of training of specialists meet the established criteria and requirements.

However, the expert commission, in order to improve the quality of training specialists, considers it necessary to express the following remarks and recommendations:

  1. To increase the percentage of doctors of sciences (professors) involved in the teaching of disciplines and the management of theses.
  2. To renew a selection of methodical guidelines-recommendations for laboratory work and practical training.
  3. To increase the number of scientific publications of scientific and pedagogical workers of the department on the profile of disciplines in international science-computer databases, in particular in Scopus, Web of Science, Index Copernicus, etc.

Based on materials submitted for accreditation and verification of the results of the activities of the Department of Space Technology and non-traditional sources of energy on the ground, the expert commission recommends that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine accredit the National Aerospace University. N.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" for the right to prepare students of an educational degree "Master" from the educational and professional program "Satellites, engines and power plants" of specialty 134 "Aviation and rocket and space technology" of the field of knowledge 13 "Mechanical engineering" for the second (master's) level with a total licensed volume of 30 full-time and part-time students.
