National Aerospace University «Kharkiv Aviation Institute»

United Student Design Bureau

As far back as the 1930s, during the design of the KhAI-1 aircraft, students actively participated in the creation of aviation technology. The Student Design Bureau (SDB NAU KhAI) traces its history back to 1959. Since then, more than 60 aircraft of various types have been built at KhAI, along with several experimental projects. The student motto of those years was: "Build and Fly!"

The main areas of activity include working with students, providing assistance to amateur aircraft designers, creating manned flying vehicles, and working on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and propellers. Staff members regularly participate in exhibitions and aviation competitions.

At SDB NAU KhAI, students can gain practical knowledge and skills related to the manufacturing of aircraft and receive expert consultations on technical issues.

SDB NAU KhAI invites students who wish to engage in technical creativity to cooperate.
