Beihang University (formerly Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics – BUAA)
In the 1950s, KhAI was a founding partner of Beihang University; consequently, since 2009, the Chinese government has annually granted KhAI three scholarships for tuition-free student education at Beihang University.
Beihang University is China's premier institution in the field of aeronautics and astronautics. It is also one of the 16 leading universities receiving priority support from the PRC government. Currently, Beihang hosts 23,000 students. The university offers programs in 63 doctoral fields, 144 Master's fields, and 52 Bachelor's fields. Every year, more than 1,000 international students enroll at Beihang to study in various areas, including Chinese language courses. International students in all Master's and PhD programs are taught in English.
KhAI Bachelor's and Master's graduates wishing to continue their studies in the PRC are eligible to compete for these scholarships. The scholarship covers tuition fees, dormitory accommodation, insurance, and living expenses. To date, nearly 30 KhAI students have been enrolled at Beihang and are currently studying in China.
Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA)
In 2007, KhAI launched a partnership with another leading Chinese institution – Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, located on the site of a former Ming Dynasty palace in Nanjing, the southern capital of ancient China. The university features two campuses with a total area of 160 hectares. NUAA comprises 10 colleges, 50 research institutes, and 58 laboratories.
KhAI Bachelor's and Master's graduates wishing to pursue further education in the PRC are eligible to apply for the NUAA scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, insurance, and daily living costs.
