About us:
The KhAI Student Council is an independent body of student self-government created by students for students. We are a team of active, initiative-driven, and caring young people who strive to make studying and living at KhAI better, brighter, and more efficient for all students. We work in active cooperation with the students' trade union.
The Student Council is a bridge between students and the university administration. We represent and protect the rights and interests of students at all levels: competitive commissions, faculty academic councils, the scholarship commission, the University Academic Council, the rectorate, and other faculty and university bodies. The Student Council is headed by a Chairperson, a position elected by students for a term of 1 year. The Council consists of a Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson(s), and representatives from the faculties.
Our Mission:
- Protection of Rights and Interests: We defend student rights in the educational process, resolve conflicts, and monitor the quality of education and living conditions in dormitories.
- Development of Self-Government: We create conditions for the realization of student initiatives, support creative ideas, and help bring them to life.
- Creating an Active Student Environment: We organize various events in cooperation with the students' trade union — cultural, sports, educational, and charitable — to make student life fulfilling and unforgettable.
- Communication: We ensure transparent and effective information exchange between students and the university administration, responding promptly to requests and suggestions.
What Do We Do?
The Student Council works in many directions to cover all spheres of student life:
- Educational and Scientific Direction: Assists in resolving issues related to studies, exam periods, scholarships, and research grants.
- Cultural Direction: Organizes holidays, concerts, parties, quests, movie screenings, excursions, patriotic events, and other cultural activities in cooperation with the students' trade union.
- Sports Direction: Promotes a healthy lifestyle, organizes competitions in various sports, and supports university varsity teams.
- Social and Living Direction: Oversees living conditions in dormitories, monitors the operation of cafeterias, handles campus beautification, and helps resolve social issues.
-Press Service and PR: Provides information support for Student Council activities, manages social media, creates photo and video content, and informs students about university news jointly with the students' trade union.
- Charitable Direction: Volunteer projects and participation in university and city-wide events.
