The Scientific Society ensures the protection of the rights and interests of persons studying or working at the University, particularly regarding issues of research activities, support for knowledge-intensive ideas, innovations, and knowledge exchange.
The purpose of the Scientific Society of the University is to create conditions for revealing the scientific and creative potential of persons studying and working at the University, developing their scientific thinking and research skills, promoting various fields of science within the University, developing innovation activities, and providing organizational support to the University administration in optimizing research and educational activities.
The activities of the Scientific Society are carried out based on the following principles:
- freedom of scientific creativity;
- voluntary membership and election of the governing bodies of the Scientific Society;
- equality of members of the Scientific Society, openness and collegiality in its work;
- integration of education and research activities;
- accumulation and enhancement of the scientific potential of the University and training of future academic and research staff.
The main tasks of the Scientific Society are:
- involvement of persons studying and working at the University in research activities;
- fostering a harmoniously developed personality of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers;
- improving the quality of research and practical research activities of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers of the University in order to gain practical experience in their field of specialization;
- mastering modern methods and skills of conducting independent research by students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers;
- searching for and supporting talented researchers among persons studying and working at the University and providing them with comprehensive assistance;
- summarizing and disseminating positive experience of research work of persons studying and working at the University;
- creating favorable conditions for the participation of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers in scientific competitions, Olympiads, conferences, etc.;
- publication and dissemination of research conducted by students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers in national and international scientific networks;
- facilitating the solution of specific practical problems of business entities by involving the creative potential of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers;
- organization and development of international scientific and cultural cooperation with other higher education institutions, research institutions, and organizations;
- coverage of the scientific activities of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers in mass media;
- performing other tasks that correspond to the purpose of the Scientific Society.
In accordance with its purpose, principles, and tasks, the Scientific Society:
- coordinates the work of persons studying and working at the University within scientific groups and encourages their participation in the scientific life of the University;
- organizes and conducts scientific conferences of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers, research seminars, forums, exhibitions, round tables, lectures, debates, intellectual games, meetings with prominent scientists and economists, presentations of research projects, and other scientific and educational activities;
- participates in the development and implementation of projects proposed by enterprises and organizations regardless of their ownership and organizational form, including foreign companies or their representative offices and divisions;
- cooperates and coordinates its activities with scientific societies of other higher education institutions and promotes the development of interuniversity and international cooperation;
- promotes the publication of scientific works of persons studying and working at the University as well as their placement on the official website of the University;
- facilitates the protection of intellectual property of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers;
- organizes competitions of research papers for grants and other incentive measures to stimulate research activities of persons studying and working at the University;
- presents information about its activities on the official website of the University, in the University’s periodicals, and in other mass media;
- disseminates information among persons studying and working at the University about scientific events of higher education institutions, research organizations, and institutions of Ukraine and other countries;
- on behalf of the University administration disseminates information among persons studying and working at the University about scientific events, competitions, conferences, etc., and also participates in their organization;
- submits proposals to the Academic Council of the University regarding candidates for named scholarships, awards, prizes, etc.;
- identifies promising projects for external funding and submits proposals to the Academic Council of the University regarding financial support for publications, meetings with potential investors (representatives of enterprises, institutions, etc.), and internships in Ukraine and abroad at the expense of the University;
- cooperates with the research departments of the University and contributes to improving the quality of scientific research;
- represents the interests of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and young researchers before the University administration and other organizations on issues of research activities and academic career development;
- develops regulatory documents governing the organization and activities of the Scientific Society;
- carries out other activities that correspond to the purpose and tasks of the Scientific Society and do not contradict the legislation of Ukraine and the Charter of the University.
