The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine annually, by December 1, awards 30 Pylyp Orlyk Awards of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Award is granted to a citizen of Ukraine who, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Basic Principles of Youth Policy,” is considered a young person, for active participation in defending the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, involvement in state-building processes, and for a significant contribution to the development of parliamentarism and local self-government.
The amount of the Award equals 25 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons as established as of January 1 of the year in which the Award is conferred.
The Award is granted once to each applicant who wins the competition conducted in accordance with the Regulations.
An applicant who was not awarded the Award based on the results of the competition may be nominated again.
