The Award is granted for outstanding achievements in the fields of natural, technical, and humanitarian sciences that contribute to the further development of science, social progress, and the establishment of the high international reputation of Ukrainian science (including research on the Holodomor of 1932–1933 in Ukraine).
The Award is granted to citizens of Ukraine.
Scientific works eligible for nomination must have been published in their final form at least one year prior to submission.
Up to forty awards are granted annually, each in the amount of UAH 210,000 (as per the revised Regulations on the “Presidential Award of Ukraine for Young Scientists” dated January 1, 2026; legal basis: Decree No. 981/2025).
Works for which their authors have already received state awards of Ukraine are not eligible for nomination.
