On June 25, the head of the aircraft control systems department (301) Kostyantyn DERGACHOV gave a speech at the XXVII International Scientific Congress "TRANSPORT PROBLEMS", which was held at the Silesian University of Technology (Poland).
The topic of the report — "Current Issues of Visual Intelligent Navigation of Autonomous Aviation Platforms and Ways to Solve Them" — was devoted to current issues of development of visual intelligent navigation systems for autonomous aviation platforms.
During the speech, the results of research by scientists of the Department of Aircraft Control Systems, which relate to the development of intelligent navigation systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, were presented. In particular, it was about the current state of development of such systems, challenges that arise during the work of technical vision in difficult operating conditions, as well as promising ways to overcome them.
The researchers paid special attention to the processing of video data, the analysis of modern solutions in the field of computer vision, and the development of multisensory methods of monitoring objects. Today, these directions are one of the key areas for increasing the autonomy, accuracy and reliability of unmanned aerial platforms.
Today, when Ukraine is actively developing its own unmanned technologies and modern control systems, such research is of particular importance. The presentation of work results at the international level not only confirms their scientific value, but also contributes to the development of technologies that shape the future of Ukrainian aviation.
