Webinar "Fear and guilt as barriers in establishing one's own boundaries"

On May 29, 2026, the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" hosted an online webinar "Fear and guilt as barriers in establishing one's own boundaries", which was conducted by the head of the psychological service of the Kharkiv Aviation Institute, Olga ODOKIENKO.

The event was dedicated to the social aspect of barrier-free accessibility and the issues of forming a healthy culture of communication based on mutual respect, dignity and observance of personal boundaries. During the webinar, with the help of psychological practices, participants had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their own boundaries of what is acceptable, analyze the peculiarities of interaction with other people, and find answers to important questions about protecting one's own space.

The speaker paid special attention to the impact of fear, anxiety, and guilt on a person's ability to defend their rights, express their position, and build healthy interpersonal relationships. Participants discussed why these emotions often become internal barriers to confident self-expression and how to learn to constructively protect your boundaries without violating other people's rights.

During the event, it was emphasized that barrier-free accessibility is not only about physical accessibility, but also about creating an environment in which every person feels worthy, valuable and a full-fledged part of society. Creating a culture of respect, non-discrimination and psychological safety is an important step towards building a truly barrier-free society.
