Webinar "Academic Text in the Age of AI"

Academic Integrity Week is underway at KhAI — an event that creates an environment of trust, responsibility, and honesty in the university community.

On May 7, a meeting “Academic Text in the Age of AI” was held, dedicated to the transformation of scientific work into a new digital era.

The speaker of the event was Alina KRYVOBOKOVA, editor of the scientific and technical library of the National Aerospace University “KhAI”.

During the lecture, the participants talked about how artificial intelligence is changing modern academic writing and why it is especially important today to maintain a balance between technology and authorial responsibility.

The focus was on:

- the concept of Augmented Writing — a format where AI does not become a replacement for the researcher, but an intellectual partner;

- the new role of the author as a content curator, meaning editor, and responsible verifier of information;

- the use of AI as a tool to overcome the “fear of the blank sheet” and optimize routine processes;

- ethical boundaries of the use of neural networks in scientific work;

- the formula for an effective prompt R.A.F.T. (Role, Action, Format, Target) for professional interaction with AI.

Special attention was paid to modern digital tools for working with scientific information - NotebookLM, Consensus, Scite.ai and Perplexity AI, which help create personal knowledge bases, check the reliability of data and avoid "hallucinations" of neural networks.

Modern academic culture requires not only mastery of new technologies, but also the ability to think critically, check information and remain the author of one's own ideas.

We sincerely thank Ms. Alina for a meaningful webinar, relevant practical advice and an interesting discussion about the future of science in the era of artificial intelligence!
