National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" has joined the community of universities "How are you?", which was created within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program - an initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska. Currently, the community unites 31 higher education institutions from 20 regions of Ukraine.
For KhAI, this is a continuation of the great work that the university has been systematically conducting for a long time.
At our university, the topic of mental health has long become part of a real support environment. We are working to form a culture of caring for people, create safe spaces, develop the principles of barrier-free living, and support students, teachers, and employees in today's extremely difficult conditions.
Today, when education in Ukraine is going through unprecedented challenges, the university should be not only a place to gain knowledge, but also a space where a person can feel support, stability, and inner support.
That is why participation in the "How are you?" program opens up new opportunities for KhAI:
- implementation of modern practices of psychological support;
- new formats of work with students and teachers;
- access to current methods, educational materials and initiatives;
- strengthening the culture of attentiveness to the mental state of a person.
We sincerely thank the NGO "Bezbariernist" for its important work, partnership and systematic formation of a culture of barrier-free, humanity and support in Ukraine.
Because a strong university today is not only about technologies, ratings or innovations. It is primarily about people. About the ability to hear each other. And to ask a simple but extremely important question in time: "How are you?"
The implementation of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program "How are you?" is supported by the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with expert support from the World Health Organization. The NGO "Bezbariernist" is an implementation partner of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program.
