The resonant popular science and career guidance event "Universe of Knowledge", which was held in October by the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute", was so popular with the local educational community that the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Dergachiv City Council invited the KhAI team again - for those students who were unable to attend the previous meeting.
This time, the event, which brought together representatives of all faculties of the University, was attended by more than 70 students from four community lyceums - from seventh to eleventh grades.
The boys and girls were convinced that science can be exciting and lively.
They worked with a sound level meter and a dosimeter, got acquainted with personal protective equipment, observed models of gas turbine engines, a Stirling engine, a 3D projector, a UAV in a protective shell, a “Bezhvostka” type control surface stand, a rocket model, composite materials, a laboratory model of the CubeSAT satellite.
They studied the operation of a pulse oximeter, a thermal imager, a portable electrocardiograph “Phasegraph”, a Gauss accelerator, an electromagnetic shooting range, and were also able to check the operation of a currency detector.
As noted in the Department of Education of the Dergachiv City Council: “Meetings with representatives of Khai are always something special. Live communication, modern technologies, quests and interactive activities create an atmosphere of drive and inspiration. The youth of Dergachi region had the opportunity not only to learn about relevant specialties, but also to try themselves as future engineers, aviators, and developers of innovative solutions.
Such meetings are not just a demonstration of technologies, but a real space of inspiration, where dreams are born and the future is determined.
