On April 28, 22 days after the enemy drone hit the university, the youth community from the trade union committee of education seekers and the student council planted two beautiful Christmas trees in place of the burned trees. For more than 50 years, these trees have adorned our territory and were part of the photo cards of the main building of KhAI. This is not the first time that trees have protected our buildings from a direct hit.
And this time, education seekers took the initiative, turning to the rector of the university, Oleksii Lytvynov, with a request to plant new trees in order to return the area in front of the main building to its beloved canonical appearance.
The initiative was immediately supported, it remained only to wait for two beautiful Christmas trees that were found in the region. But no one expected that these would be two trees 5 meters high each. Special equipment was used to plant the trees. Such a pleasant gift to the university from our friends and reliable partners, who immediately come to the aid at our first request (thank you, Lubomyr!), immediately caused delight and a lot of positive emotions. The students, taking turns passing shovels to each other, dug, watered, tamped the soil and took many selfies for 2 hours. How could we do without this.
As a result, two Christmas trees again greet everyone near the main building. And only the background of the windows blocked with OSB slabs reminds of April 6. And even this is temporary. After all, the windows will be restored later. As a sign of strength of spirit, continuous struggle and hope that peace will soon reign on our land
