For high school students, spring is a period of decisions that determine the future path: choosing a profession, university, and one's own future. And, of course, taking the NMT - one of the most important stages of the admission campaign.
Throughout May, the safe educational space of KhAI became the site of a real marathon of support for Kharkiv schoolchildren. During this time, 10 trial NMTs were held at our university, each of which was designed for approximately 60 participants. In total, about 500 future applicants registered for testing.
The last, tenth trial NMT was held on May 16, on the eve of the start of the official testing session. On this day, KhAI accepted 93 schoolchildren in two shifts. Students from Saltivskyi, Nemyshlyanskyi, and Slobidskyi districts of Kharkiv visited the university.
For the KhAI team, this marathon became a great responsibility. Not just to organize testing, but to meet, support, help understand the NMT format, explain difficult points and, most importantly, add confidence to those who are on the threshold of adulthood today.
Throughout the testing, university teachers and employees were with the participants. They helped adapt to the NMT format, analyzed typical mistakes, answered questions and shared recommendations for preparation.
The university paid special attention to creating comfortable and safe conditions. Parents of schoolchildren also joined the events, who had the opportunity to get to know the university and its educational environment better.
Because today, supporting young people is much more than just preparing for the exam.
This is a contribution to the future of Kharkiv. A city that continues to study, live and educate a new generation of Ukrainian specialists even in the most difficult times.
And we sincerely believe: among those who wrote the NMT test at KhAI this spring are future students of Ukrainian universities. Future engineers, scientists, teachers, designers. Those who will build a new Ukraine and a new Ukrainian sky.
