At the end of May, the Thematic Summit on Physical Sciences & Engineering, Social Sciences & Humanities, and Energy was held in Krakow (Poland) at the SOLARIS Centre as part of the Horizon Europe RIFF (Research Infrastructure for Future for Ukraine) project.
The National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” was represented at the event by the Head of the University’s Academic Council, Professor of the Department of Aircraft Production Technology Olga SHYPUL and Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology YAKUSHEVA Yevheniya.
The summit participants focused on the issues of developing interdisciplinary cooperation between social sciences and humanities, engineering and energy, as well as forming a roadmap for Ukrainian research infrastructures and their integration into the European Research Area.
As part of the event, YAKUSHEVA Yevheniya presented a report entitled “Strengthening Social Sciences and Humanities Research Infrastructures in Ukraine: Pathways for Integration into the European Research Area”.
The speech highlighted the issues of the development of research infrastructures in the field of social sciences and humanities in Ukraine, the role of behavioral and mental health research in the processes of post-war recovery, as well as the integration of Ukrainian science into the European Research Area (ERA).
Participation in the summit became an important platform for international scientific dialogue, discussion of prospects for cooperation, and presentation of Ukrainian experience in research on societal resilience and recovery in the face of modern crisis challenges.
