Summer is coming to an end.
And I want to have time to take everything from it - the last warm rays, walks, meetings, laughter and little adventures.
And for children, summer is a special time. In childhood, there is an inexhaustible desire to discover something new every day, explore the world, invent adventures and, of course, do it together with a cheerful company of friends and like-minded people.
Among the children who especially need such a summer are the children of internally displaced persons who live in the Khai dormitories. Their childhood has already changed because of the war. Therefore, KhAI, together with volunteers, is doing everything to ensure that there is room in it for joy, communication, creativity, sports and ordinary children's adventures.
Volunteer and mentor Denys NAZIN organizes a rich program of activities for children. There is play therapy and classes in a room on the 6th floor of the Khai-10 dormitory, sports games on the playground, team entertainment with a big ball, and musical meetings.
And also hiking.
This time, a team of young researchers from the KhAI-10 dormitory went on a mini-hike. They explored the area, walked, talked, and at the same time chose a place for a future picnic.
The last summer days are ahead. So let there be as many of them as possible: sunny, cheerful, noisy, and truly childish.
Thank you to the volunteers for your concern, care, and willingness to be with the children. Thank you to KhAI and the administration of the university campus for your support, understanding, and creating opportunities for such meetings.
