Acting Head of the Department of International Relations and European Integration of the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" Dana TURCHANINOVA took part in the annual conference on studying abroad The Forum on Education Abroad Annual Conference, which took place on March 11-13, 2026 in Nashville (USA).
Participation in the event was made possible thanks to the personal invitation of the President and CEO of The Forum on Education Abroad Melissa TORRES.
An exhibition was also held as part of the conference, at which Khai was represented by its own stand, which provided an opportunity to actively interact with the participants of the event, present the university, establish new contacts and discuss the prospects for international cooperation. Representatives of universities and organizations actively communicated, expressed interest in partnership and the development of joint projects.
It is worth noting that Dana TURCHANINOVA was selected as one of three representatives of the international educational community from all conference participants who were given the opportunity to speak to a wide audience and share their own stories. In her speech, she presented the experience of a Ukrainian higher education institution during the war, focusing on the challenges, adaptation, and the role of international cooperation in ensuring the sustainability of the educational process.
The speech aroused considerable interest among the participants: many university representatives personally approached her to express their support, thank her for the frankness and strength of the presented story, and offer assistance and further cooperation.
Overall, the event was held at a high level, was rich, productive, and opened up new opportunities for the development of international partnerships at KhAI.
We express our sincere gratitude to The Forum on Education Abroad and Melissa TORRES personally for the opportunity to participate and support, and we look forward to further fruitful cooperation with this organization and other US higher education institutions.
