Scientists, graduate students and master's students of the Department of Cyber Security and Intelligent Information Technologies (503) of the National Aerospace University "KhAI" continue to develop modern augmented reality technologies and artificial intelligence tools to create interactive art.
Another confirmation of this was participation in the creation of the exposition of the exhibition "The Code of Mazepa. Episode 2", which opened in Kyiv.
The exhibition presents paintings with augmented reality: it is enough to install the Artivive mobile application, point the smartphone camera at the canvas, and the painting "comes to life", turning into a mini-movie. At the same time, the development of its own multi-scenario solutions using augmented reality and artificial intelligence technologies continues at KhAI.
The department's work in this direction has a long history. The first interactive art exhibitions, as well as regular offline schools and trainings for students, graduate students and teachers of the university and other institutions of higher education of Ukraine, which were held jointly with international partners, were held in KhAI and Kharkiv Planetarium. Already this fall, the department plans to restore this tradition.
The team's scientific results are also summarized in the "Technologies of Interactive Art" section of the Encyclopedia of Libraries, Librarianship, and Information Science (Elsevier, 2025), the authors of which are Olena GOLEMBOVSKA and Vyacheslav KHARCHENKO.
KhAI continues to expand this area of activity. With the approval of Rector Oleksii LYTVYNOV, preparations for the creation of an interactive art laboratory, which will work on the basis of the PodMotorka educational space, have begun. It will become a platform for combining modern digital technologies, art, cyber security and artificial intelligence.
