On July 15, on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, KhAI hosted the signing of a Declaration of Intent on Cooperation in the Research and Development Sphere between the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” and the O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv.
This document initiates a new stage of strategic partnership between two leading universities of Kharkiv, aimed at the development of science, innovation, and the recovery of Ukraine.
In their welcoming speeches, Oleksii Lytvynov, Rector of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute,” and Ihor Biletskyi, Rector of the O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, emphasized that cooperation between universities today is not just relevant, but critically necessary.
Only the consolidation of scientific potential, joint use of research infrastructure, and combination of competencies will allow for an effective response to modern challenges, attracting international funding, implementing large-scale research projects, and contributing to the post-war reconstruction of the state.
The delegations included representatives from the highest management tiers of both universities: rectors, the Chairman of the KhAI Academic Council, vice-rectors, institute directors, faculty deans, and heads of structural subdivisions. Such a high representative level demonstrated the mutual interest of the parties in a long-term partnership and their readiness to move from intentions to concrete joint actions.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere of open dialogue. The conversation was constructive and substantive: participants discussed promising areas of cooperation, opportunities for creating inter-university research consortia, preparing joint grant applications, developing academic mobility, and holding joint scientific events.
The signing of the Declaration became an important step toward uniting the scientific communities of the two universities and reaffirmed their shared commitment to developing modern Ukrainian science that works for victory, recovery, and the future of the state.
