At the National Aerospace University "KhAI", faculties do not limit ideas - science unites! The scientific circle "Student Design and Technology Bureau" (SDTB) proves: when we work together, anything is possible!
SDTB is a real aerospace hub that has united more than 20 students from all faculties of KhAI. Here, technicians, programmers and managers create the future side by side.
This project is a real model of a modern R&D center, where engineering thought meets effective management.
The following worked on the joint research:
- Oleksiy KOBTSEV - Head of SDTB, a graduate of the Department of Aircraft and Helicopter Design. His technical vision became the foundation for the development of complex space systems.
- Viktoriya MASLYK - student of the Department of Management and Business Administration, a scholarship holder of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Victoria proves: aviation and space need not only designers, but also professional managers capable of supporting innovative projects.
The result of this cooperation is the scientific work "Development and Prospects for the Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Space", dedicated to the global problem of cleaning orbit from space debris.
What exactly did the KhAI people propose?
- a unique layout of the orbital cleaner.
- an engineering solution with a frame mesh structure for capturing debris.
- the use of nuclear thermal and electric rocket launchers for maximum efficiency.
The research was highly appreciated by experts at the XIV Scientific Conference 2025 in Kharkiv, where young scientists received certificates.
And this is just the beginning! The work of SDTB continues
