There is a good spring tradition at KhAI.
When the trees bloom in late April, the Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Information Technologies (503) “blooms” PERSIK — the student scientific and technical conference “PERSPECTIVE Computer and Network Technologies”.
On April 23, the seventeenth PERSIK gathered almost 80 participants from different parts of Ukraine: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Khmelnytskyi. They were joined by representatives of 12 leading universities, institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, IT companies, colleges and lyceums. At the same time, the conference confidently maintains an international level: this year, among the participants are students and postgraduates from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Greece and Israel.
The participation of associate professors and master's students from the National Academy of the Land Forces and the Institute of the Navy of Ukraine is of particular importance - this once again emphasizes that modern IT solutions today work not only for development, but also for the security of the state.
The participants were welcomed by the rector of the university, Professor Oleksii LYTVYNOV, deputy dean of the faculty of radio electronics, computer systems and infocommunications, Professor Serhiy OLIYNYK, coordinator of educational projects of the Kharkiv IT Cluster, Anastasia TARABANOVA, head of department 503, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Vyacheslav KHARCHENKO, and professor of the department, Olga MOROZOVA. It is this team, together with partners, that forms the environment in which student science sounds at its full volume.
The conference program was prepared by Associate Professor of Department 503 Artem PEREPELITSYN, organizational support was provided by the Department of Scientific Activities under the leadership of Professor Oleksiy KRYUKOV, and the plenary sessions were moderated by Associate Professor Igor KLYUSHNIKOV. Thanks to this coordinated work, PERSIK was once again held as a full-fledged professional scientific event.
The plenary reports set a high level of discussion. The focus was on the analysis of malicious software using machine learning, assessing the effectiveness of information systems, and new approaches to developing software products in the context of AI-agent technologies. These were not just speeches — they were markers of where modern IT science is heading.
Further work unfolded in five sections — from software technologies and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity, IoT, and cloud solutions. Some of the sessions were held in a mixed format — in the secure space of the university. And despite all the circumstances, the atmosphere remained lively: questions, discussions, new ideas that were born simply during the discussions.
This is the essence of PERSIK. Here they do not just present results. Here they look for solutions. They formulate new tasks. They think about how technologies can work for the reconstruction, defense and development of the country.
And at the same time, PERSIK remains a unique platform where high school and graduate students, students and professors, engineers and teachers work side by side. Without barriers. Without distance. With the only goal - to move forward.
According to the results of the conference, the best reports were determined - Vitaly NAUMENKO, Sofia AHTYRSKA, Roman KVITNYTSKI, Yan DEINEKO and Danylo KIRICHENKO. The active participation in the organization of Daria FEDORENKO was also noted. The winners will receive gifts from partners and diplomas, and all participants - certificates. The conference materials will be published in a collection of abstracts, and recordings of the presentations are already available on the department's YouTube channel.
PERSIK confirmed again: this is not just a conference.
This is an environment where the future is formed.
And every spring it blooms again.
