The National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" hosted a round table "Materials Science in Modern Conditions: Current Problems, Development Prospects and the Role of the KhAI Scientific School".
The participants were welcomed by the rector of KhAI Oleksii LYTVYNOV, the president of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine Anatoliy VASYLYEV, and the director of the Kharkiv State Vocational and Pedagogical College named after V.I. Vernadsky Oleksandr SAICHUK.
Representatives of leading higher education institutions and scientific institutions of Ukraine, heads of faculties and departments of KhAI took part in the round table. During the event, modern challenges in the field of materials science, promising directions for the development of the industry, issues of introducing innovative technologies and strengthening cooperation between science and industry were discussed.
A number of reports dedicated to current scientific and applied problems were presented within the program. In particular, the participants considered the current state and prospects for the development of materials science, methods of criterion-based search for the appearance of aircraft, technologies for extending the service life of aircraft engine parts by gas-thermal spraying of coatings, as well as the creation of the Center for Composite Technologies.
Particular attention was paid to the role of the KhAI Scientific School in training highly qualified specialists, developing promising research and implementing innovative solutions for the needs of the aviation and mechanical engineering industries.
The round table became an important platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience and the formation of new areas of cooperation between the scientific community, educational institutions and manufacturing enterprises.
