For more than two years, the scientific and technical group "Mechatronics" has been operating within the framework of pre-university education of the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" at the Department of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering (305). Here, schoolchildren and future engineers take their first steps in the world of robotics, mechatronics and modern technologies, learn to work in a team, create their own technical projects and implement the most daring ideas.
And already this summer, the students of the group worthily represented KhAI at the all-Ukrainian RoboFest Odesa 2026, which was held on July 13–17 at the International University (Odessa).
The participation of the “Mechatronics KhAI” team in the festival was made possible thanks to the support of the National Aerospace University “KhAI” and the rector Oleksii LYTVYNOV, who consistently supports initiatives that open up opportunities for young people to develop, participate in professional competitions and realize their own engineering potential.
Our participants demonstrated a high level of training, engineering thinking and true team spirit, and their achievements were recognized by the festival organizers:
- The “Mechatronics KhAI” team — a diploma for active participation in the festival and a special award “Iron Will”.
- Arseniy KOROL, Vsevolod SOBOLEV and Ruslan GERNESHIY — diplomas for creative approach, passion for robotics and active participation in RoboFest Odesa 2026.
- Yuriy NEMSHYLOV, head of the group, associate professor of the Department of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering (305) — honorary thanks for high professionalism, significant contribution to the training of participants and the development of technical creativity of young people.
A separate event of the festival was the master class "Techno Intelligence", which Yuriy NEMSHYLOV held within the framework of the international conference ATICE-2026. During the event, modern approaches to STEM education, robotics and the development of engineering competencies were presented.
Congratulations to the team "Mechatronics KhAI" and its mentor on a wonderful performance! Each such result is another proof that a new generation of talented engineers is growing at Khai, capable of representing the university and Ukraine at the national and international levels.
We wish the team bright projects and victories that will glorify KhAI more than once!
