On December 24, 2025, at a staff conference, he presented a report on the activities of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” for the past year.

The report covered the key results of the university's educational, scientific, international, financial, economic, infrastructural, and social activities under martial law.

For the KhAI, 2025 was a difficult year in the frontline city of Kharkiv, with constant security risks and limited resources, but with a clear awareness of its responsibility for people, knowledge, and the future.

Despite these challenges, the university maintained the continuity of the educational process, its personnel and scientific potential, and confirmed its role as one of the leading centers of aviation and space education in Ukraine.

The key strategic priorities for the year were the quality of education, the development of science and innovation, international activities, support for human capital, and the implementation of sustainable development principles.

All management decisions were made taking into account the security context, long-term goals, and the needs of the university community.

The priorities for 2025 in educational activities were: ensuring the quality of educational programs, adapting the educational process to a mixed format, developing practice-oriented learning and dual education, and modernizing the internal system of quality assurance in education. The university trained specialists at all levels of higher education, maintaining stable indicators of the number of students and staffing.

The university's scientific activities focused on conducting applied and fundamental research in areas of priority for the state, developing scientific schools, supporting young scientists, and participating in national and international scientific programs. The university maintained its active publishing activity and status as the founder of professional scientific publications, and the scientific achievements of KhAI employees were recognized at the state level.

International cooperation in 2025 opened up new horizons for the KhAI, in particular through the expansion of partnerships, participation in academic mobility programs, the attraction of foreign students, and the integration of the university into the international educational and scientific space. Active international activities contributed to increasing the university's visibility in global rankings and strengthening its international image.

The university's financial and economic activities were aimed at ensuring stable operation in the context of reduced budget funding. At the same time, growth in own revenues, effective resource management, and the attraction of additional appropriations made it possible to fulfill financial obligations in a timely manner, ensure the payment of salaries and scholarships, and maintain the university's material and technical base.

Infrastructure development in 2025 focused on creating safe educational spaces, restoring damaged facilities, and maintaining the proper technical and safety condition of buildings and structures. This made it possible to organize a mixed format of training and conduct admission and educational events in compliance with safety requirements.

The university's social policy remained an important part of its activities. KhAI provided support to students and employees, developed psychological services, sports and cultural initiatives, and provided assistance to internally displaced persons, demonstrating social responsibility and solidarity with the community.

Despite all the challenges, the university not only ensures the stability of the educational process, but also consistently continues its strategic development. In line with international practices in higher education management, KhAI is optimizing its organizational structure and management processes. It is in this context that the Center for Strategic Development and Public Positioning was opened during the reporting period, whose activities are aimed at creating a modern, inclusive, safe, and informationally accessible university environment.

The results of 2025 demonstrated the resilience of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute,” its ability to act responsibly and with foresight in wartime, and to lay the foundation for further development in the national and international educational and scientific space.

“Even in the most difficult conditions of war, the KhAI remains true to its mission. We develop human capital, promote science and innovation, and work for the future of Ukraine. Our strength lies in the unity of our team, responsibility for every decision, and faith in the strategic development of the university.”
