The KhAI hosted a sustainability event “Memory of the Defenders of Ukraine”. It was a meeting about the courage, heroism and self-sacrifice of the soldiers who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our state.
Our university traditionally unites its community around values that are important to us - memory, patriotism and national sustainability.
With the support of Rector Oleksii LYTVYNOV, the event was held by the Head of the Department of Military Training and National Resistance Vitalii RYUTIN and the Head of the Department of Educational Work Oleksandr PROKOPENKO. About 150 students and teachers of KhAI joined the meeting.
The guests of the event were military personnel, volunteers and participants in hostilities:
- Serhii SHEBELIST - spokesman for the 26th separate artillery brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych;
- Malena POLTAVSKA — Lieutenant, Officer of the Combat Stress Control Group of a Separate Mechanized Brigade;
- Volodymyr BRUSENTSOV — Acting Commander of the Volunteer Formation of the Territorial Community “Phoenix”;
- Valerii OBOLETSEV — Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Participant in the ATO/JFO Combat Operations and the Defense of Ukraine during the Full-Scale Invasion.
This meeting was not only about honoring the memory of the fallen Heroes, but also about the opportunity to hear from direct participants in the war, to reflect on its experience, to talk about strength and resilience, and to once again remind ourselves of the price at which Ukraine’s independence is being fought.
We sincerely thank the Deputy Deans for Educational Work and the curators of academic groups for the organizational support of the event, the involvement of students, and their active participation in the formation of a patriotic and responsible university community.
The memory of the defenders of Ukraine is our responsibility for the future of the state.
