On June 17, another meeting of the Academic Council of the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" took place, which became the final meeting of the 2025/2026 academic year. During the meeting, members of the Academic Council considered a wide range of issues related to ensuring the quality of education, development of personnel potential, improvement of the regulatory framework of the University, scientific activities and training of scientific personnel.
One of the key issues of the meeting was the results of monitoring the employment of University graduates. The Academic Council listened to the report of the Director of the Center for the Quality of Education, Licensing and Accreditation, Eleonora Darmofal, regarding the current indicators of employment and the development of cooperation with employers in today's conditions.
Within personnel issues, a secret vote was held regarding the competitive filling of vacant positions of heads and professors of departments.
An important decision of the meeting was the approval of the Regulation on the Supervisory Board and the recommendation of its personal composition, which included representatives of state bodies, science, industry, the defense sector and the public, which opens up new opportunities for strengthening the University's interaction with external stakeholders and implementing the institution's strategic development directions.
A significant block of the agenda was devoted to the development of scientific activity and the training of scientific personnel. The academic council approved reviewers for reviewing a number of doctoral theses in the fields of technical sciences and public administration, and also decided to form one-time specialized academic councils to defend theses of doctoral degree holders in the fields of aviation and rocketry and space engineering, power engineering, computer science, software engineering, telecommunications and radio engineering, as well as law.
In the "Miscellaneous" section, the Academic Council recommended the publication of regular issues of scientific journals, considered the issue of clarifying the topics of dissertation studies of applicants of the third level of higher education, and approved the candidacies of students for receiving academic and social scholarships of various levels.
Summing up, we can say that the meeting was a worthy end to the academic year, which was full of challenges, important decisions and new achievements. We sincerely thank the staff of the University for their fruitful work, dedication to their work and contribution to the development of KhAI.
