Regular meeting of the Academic Council in March 2026

On March 18, the regular meeting of the Academic Council of the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" was held, which was traditionally held in a remote format.

The agenda was rich and multi-vector - from strategic issues of international activity to specific decisions regarding educational programs, science and personnel development.

The meeting began with an important and, without exaggeration, topical issue - the development of the University's international activity under martial law.

In his report, the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations Mikail Garayev outlined the achievements that became possible even in difficult conditions, and identified the priorities for the further integration of the University into the global educational and scientific space.

No less significant was the discussion of the issue of organizing distance educational technologies at the University, because in modern realities, it is distance education that is a full-fledged tool for ensuring the continuity of the educational process.

According to the results of a secret ballot, the academic titles of professor and associate professor were awarded. Reports of young scientists - fellows of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine were also heard. Their results once again confirmed the high level of scientific research carried out at Khai.

A separate block was the nomination of candidates for state awards. This is a recognition not only of personal achievements, but also of contributions to the development of science, education, economy and society in general. Such decisions shape the image of the university as a powerful scientific and educational center.

Considerable attention was paid to the development of educational programs, in particular, the concept and launch of educational and scientific programs in the specialty "Law Enforcement" at various levels of higher education were approved. At the same time, a decision was made to terminate a number of educational programs in accordance with changes in the state list of specialties, which indicates a systematic update of the educational portfolio and its adaptation to modern requirements.

Traditionally, a significant block of issues related to scientific activity: the creation of one-time specialized academic councils, approval of dissertation topics, appointment and change of scientific supervisors, recommendations for publications and editions.

It is worth noting separately the renewal of the editorial boards of scientific journals, which contributes to increasing their authority and international recognition.

Despite the extremely broad agenda, heavy workload and importance of each issue, this entire volume of work was completed in less than an hour, which indicates a high level of organization and coordinated work of the members of the Academic Council.

It is symbolic that such results are achieved in early spring - a period of new ideas and confident movement forward.
