The awards ceremony of outstanding scientists of Ukraine took place in Kyiv following the results of the 2025 competition. The awards are traditionally awarded for the results of fundamental and applied research that are of great importance for the development of science and technology.
Among the laureates are representatives of the National Aerospace University "KhAI".
The O.K. Antonov Award for the work "Improving the characteristics of aircraft gas turbine engines for various purposes" was received by:
- Igor Kravchenko - graduate of Khayil Akar in 1979, professor of KhAI, general designer, general director of JSC "Ivchenko-Progress", corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine;
- Serhiy Yepifanov - Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, academician of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine, head of the Department of Aircraft Engine Design of KhAI.
The work is dedicated to increasing the efficiency and reliability of modern aircraft engines - a key element of any aviation system.
This is the result of many years of scientific and engineering work, which combined production experience, academic research and training of new generations of specialists.
For KhAI, such an award is a confirmation of the level of the university's scientific schools and their involvement in solving urgent problems in the aviation industry.
